The office building Martinez measures 78 meters high and has been clad with a unitised curtain wall system. The majority of the panels are 1,8m wide and 3,6m high. At the bottom two floors higher panels have been used to span the extra floor height. The panels in the more transparent east and west elevations are 2,0m as a division in four panels was seen as preferable to one in five panels. All transparent facade elements have an intermediate transom at 920mm above the finished floor. All glazing has a high performance solar coating on face 2 (LTA/ZTA = 60/30); the double glazed panels below the transom have been executed as safety glass. The north and south elevations are characterised by alternating vertical strips of vision glass and spandrel glass or natural stone. The spandrels in the lower two slabs closest to the station spandrel glass with a screen has been combined with strips of extruded aluminium. In the higher slabs natural stone has been used. On the inside the spandrel have been closed with a coated steel sheet in a colour matching the curtain walling.
